Billing

Focused Bilingual Speech Therapy is currently a private-pay practice. This allows us to focus fully on your child- not insurance restrictions. This helps us provide no wait lists, individualized goals, flexible scheduling and a truly family-centered approach. While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide superbills upon request.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt for speech therapy services. Since therapy is private pay, families pay the therapist directly. The superbill can then be used to request reimbursement from your insurance company, if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.

To use a superbill:

  1. Pay for therapy sessions.

  2. Receive a superbill from the therapist (usually monthly).

  3. Submit it to your insurance company through their portal or by mail.

Please note: submitting a superbill does not guarantee reimbursement. Coverage depends on your insurance plan, deductible, and out-of-network benefits. Reimbursement, if approved, is typically partial.

We recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about out-of-network speech therapy benefits and their superbill submission process.
